The official currency of the British Virgin Islands has been the US dollar since 1959, as used by the United States Virgin Islands.

Cars are driven on the left-hand side of the road, in both the British and the US Virgin Islands. But the steering wheels is on the left side.

The British Virgin Islands main islands is Tortola, with Virgin Gorda, Anegada and Jost Van Dyke, along with over fifty other small islands and cays (kees). Approximately 15 of the islands are inhabited.

Mostly only called the BVI , is a British overseas territory and a member of the European Union.

The Spanish Virgin Islands are part of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, located in the east of it and are geographically part of The Virgin Islands chain.

They are closer to St. Thomas than St. Thomas is to St. Croix, which are both part of the USVI.

The Virgin Islands Passage separates the USVI from the Spanish Virgin Islands.
